
Last night Vietnam Airlines President, Mr Pham Ngoc Minh, announced that Vietnam Airlines will start flying to London Gatwick form Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by the end of 2011. The airline plans to operate four flights per week with two flights form each city. These are in addition to the current services operated to the major European cities of PAris, Frankfurt and Moscow. The flights will arrive in London Gatwick at a convenient early morning arrival tome departing late morning back to Vietnam The scheduled will be flown using a very modern Boeing 767-200 aircraft. The plan to fly to London is part of Vietnam Airlines continued expansion where it is combining growth into more long haul markets more penetration of the regional markets of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. The new four times weekly service is planned to expand to daily by the year 2014.
