Vietnam Airlines start Hanoi to Osaka

Vietnam Airlines has indicated that it will commence direct scheduled service flights between Hanoi and Osaka following the withdrawal of troubled Japan Airlines from the route. Vietnam Airlines will operate five flights a week on the route, using Airbus A321 aircraft. "We wish to contribute to boosting trade, tourism and investment ties between Kansai and Hanoi in particular and between Vietnam and Japan in general," said Vietnam Airlines chief executive Pham Ngoc Minh.

This will raise the airline's total number of flights a week between Vietnamese and Japanese cities to 31.
