Laura's 'Nam Fan - Tombs, rooms and Hoi an
We woke up at around about seven am, got our bags ready and then headed down to have breakfast. Sightseeing was next on the agenda and we were whisked off by minibus to the royal tombs of tu duc and khau dinh.
An informative guide told us everything about these ancient monuments as walked around the site followed by lunch at the Phuoc Thanh restaurant. Not to be disappointed, the food again was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. After lunch we headed to hoi an.
On the way to hoi an we stopped at Lang co, Lang co is on a sand split peninsula with a sparkling lagoon on one side, and a long beach lining the South China Sea on the other. I was told - and I agree !! - that Lang co is one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam, The beaches are breath taking and as yet not too developed for tourists. We visited the Lang co village and saw some of the rooms, the hotel was excellent and the views onto the beach were magnificent.
We then carried on our journey to hoi an. Quite a lot of the roads and fields were still flooded quite badly due to the typhoon that had blown through two weeks before our visit. We arrived in hoi an in the early evening so our guide took us straight to the hoi an river side resort. The staff met us with smiles and the warmest welcome so far !
We quickly got ready for dinner, our guide picked us up at quarter to 8 from our hotel reception where we then were taken for a charming dinner at a restaurant called pho hoi garden.
After we had finished dinner, we headed back to the hotel as it had been a long day and we had done lots and we were ready for bed, or should I say I was !!!
